What’s Your Art Style?

This weekend, I’ve decided it’s finally time to take down my homemade Christmas wreath—I’m a little late on that, I know—and now that one of my living room walls will be empty, I’ve considered hanging a piece of art to spruce it up.

The only problem is, I have no clue as to what my “art style” is. Sure, I’ve been to a handful of fancy art museums and galleries—I did live in Manhattan, after all—but I haven’t the slightest idea whether a certain genre, era or style really speaks to me. Do I like delicate, classic watercolors? Is black-and-white photography more my taste? Or am I attracted to louder, modern, even avant-garde pieces?

The truth is, I don’t know. But one thing I do know: I want to find out. And even though I’m sure it will take a while, a few things have already caught my eye. Check out a few of my favorite pieces right now:
