Spring Break is kicking off for the local college students, and it makes my heart ache to think that that was me just two short years ago. During my college years, I was fortunate enough to have some pretty amazing spring breaks, whether it was a low-key trip to the Georgia Coast or a party-packed, all-inclusive vacay to the Bahamas.
But the hands-down best spring break vacation I’ve ever been on was my trip to Cabo San Lucas in March 2011. From the perfect weather—75 and sunny every day—and amazing food to the unbelievable resort we stayed at (Capella Pedregal), I couldn’t dream up a more relaxing and satisfying vacation.
Though I’m typically the kind of person who likes to go out and explore when I’m in a new city, I have to admit that this vacation was all about laying on the beach; eating yummy seafood, tacos and guacamole; and filling up on refreshing Mexican beer.
It was no “Laguna Beach”-style party, but my boyfriend and I did manage to eat at several tasty local spots, take a private boat ride, go to a tequila tasting and explore the beautiful beaches. And we may or may not have spent a little too much time at a nearby casino…
Just looking at these photos and reminiscing about the fun we had makes me want to book a flight to Cabo as I type. A girl can dream, right? Until next time, Cabo.
