I have no problem admitting it: I love black. I buy a lot of it, I wear a lot of it, and a good portion of my closet is full of dresses, skirts, shirts, shoes and coats in the shade. But I really have been making a concerted effort over the last year or so to buy less black clothing and accessories—”less,” rather than “no,” being the operative word—and slowly but surely, my closet is starting to look a little more like a rainbow of colors than a sea of black.
In my continuous hunt for all things bright, non-black and patterned, I came across this little beauty on Piperlime. I don’t typically buy a lot of mini skirts—my hips don’t always love them, plus I can’t wear them to work—but for such a great price (just $89!) and gorgeous pattern, this sequined piece looks almost too good to pass up. I’d probably pair it with a basic black tank and heels for a night out, and maybe a chambray shirt and sandals for a laid-back, boho-chic day look.
Are you a fan? If so, how would you style it?
