The Crave: Crazy-Cute Couch

The countdown is on for my big move to Philly (just 10 days!), and Harrison and I have yet to decide on what couch we’re going to get for the apartment. We have to make up our minds soon, though, because we’re picking it up in the moving truck the day I move in so we can avoid the dreaded delivery fee.

I’ve suddenly become a sucker for nearly any piece of velvet furniture, but considering that puppy Paul will likely sneak his way onto the couch more often than he should, we’re opting for a fabric that’s easy to clean and care for. Also, the living room doesn’t get a ton of natural light during many parts of the day, so I really want a couch that’s light and neutral to keep things a little brighter. We’re leaning toward this IKEA Ektorp Sofa right now, but if money, fabric and size were no option, here are five couches I would buy in a snap:

Clockwise from top left: Eskayel Roman Ram Sofa by ABC Carpet & Home; Veranda Sofa by Layla Grace; Irving Place Harper Loveseat by ABC Carpet & Home; Lampert Sofa by Jonathan Adler; and Aristocrat Sofa by Zuo.

That velvet purple loveseat is divine, and the Zuo sofa has so much shine and sass. Though I would love to have one (or each and every one) of these beauties, we’ve got to opt for something a little more budget-friendly this time around. Next time we couch shop, though, don’t be surprised if I make one of these mine!

Which of these sofas would you want in your dream home?
