Mondays can be a real drag, but when you’re coming off a wonderful, relaxing and restorative weekend, they seem to be the slightest bit easier to manage. Fortunately, that’s the case for me today, as I had one of the most blissfully lazy weekends I’ve had in a very, very long time. For the first time in what feels like forever, I didn’t have a ton of extra work to complete this weekend, so I spent Saturday doing a few errands (yes, that included shopping) and enjoying the gorgeous day outside with Mr. Paul. Yesterday was even more uneventful (in the best of ways); we enjoyed an amazing brunch in South Philly, then spent the entire day lounging on the couch, catching up on TV, and squeezing in a much-needed nap.
The only real activity I had over the last couple of days was on Saturday night, when Harrison and I went out for a lovely dinner with a few friends at this adorable little BYOB we’ve been dying to go to in the city. It’s a pretty casual place, so I decided to stick with a simple outfit, too, falling back on an all-black ensemble that I made a bit more exciting with a crystal statement necklace I picked up while shopping.
Just one peek into my closet is enough evidence to prove that I’m a huge fan of anything black, and I’m not even ashamed of it. Sure, I love color from time to time, but there’s no better backdrop for a few great accessories, a bold lip or a bright heel than an all-black ensemble.
Are you a fan of all-black looks? If so, how do you brighten up your dark ensembles for spring?
