You may not know this about me, but I’m a total creature of habit. So even though I work from home, it’s really important to me to maintain a “normal” schedule more days than not, which includes waking up at the same time every day, taking a set lunch hour and getting dressed each morning (rather than lounging around in my pajamas, which would make me want to nap all. day. long.).
And a few days ago when I getting dressed to go work from a cafe rather than my home office, I noticed one thing was missing from my work wardrobe: A great bag that’s perfect for days in the office, but also transitions easily for nights on the town or weekends of running errands. So I set out on a mission to round up a list of gorgeous bags that are classic and professional enough for a 9 to 5, but chic and playful enough to carry around practically anywhere else. Check out my 16 favorite finds:
I’m always a fan of classic shapes and colors, so the leather (or faux-leather) totes from H&M, Ted Baker and French Connection are no brainers (and really well priced!). But I also love the unique shapes of the Pour La Victoire bags (and that shade of forest green is divine), as well as the super-sophisticated shades of cobalt blue, metallic silver and eggplant on the ASOS, MK and Gregory Silva options. And we all know that nude can anchor even the boldest of outfit, so the totes from Topshop, Mango, Tory Burch and Tod’s would be great investment pieces to keep for the long haul.
Which of these work-meets-play bags would you choose?
