I feel like I’m on repeat when I say this, but I’ve always been a huge fan of classic style—hence the name of the blog!—and that often includes pieces that are polished, structured and minimal and a wardrobe full of neutrals. But every now and then, I’m also the kind of girl who likes to throw a little glitz and glam into my look with sparkle, shine and luxe fabrics like leather. That’s why I’m so crazy about the graphic tee + leather skirt trend—it’s a look that combines both sides of my style personality with a mix of structured silhouettes and sassy pieces. And now I’m finally ready to try the trend myself.

Inspiration for the graphic tee + skirt combo

I’m typically a fan of black + gold when it comes to my outfit and accessories, but the second I saw some of the gorgeous jewels from Brilliant Earth—a fine-jewelry brand that focuses on ethically sourced jewelry, diamonds and engagement rings—I had to rethink that. You know I’m crazy about burgundy this year, so this thick, luscious coat from Carven was a no-brainer. Adding in a cute graphic tee, a sexy leather skirt, a shiny bordeaux lip, a leather bag and heels, and these stunning white gold pieces from Brilliant Earth, the classic and tailored pieces mesh perfectly with the glam elements in the look.
