How this happened, I’m not quite sure, but we’re already halfway through the Spring ’15 season of New York Fashion Week. For the last four days in a row, I’ve been tuning in to as many live streams as possible and waiting, poised and ready, to pin every pretty outfit I see walking down the runway (check out a full list of my favorites from this season here!). And even though there are still four days of stunning spring style left to play out, I’ve already noticed a few trends throughout the first half of the shows. Check out a few of my faves:
Wow-Worthy Whites
Summer, winter, spring, fall. I don’t care what season it is: All-white outfits are super chic. They’re also ruling the runways this year at NYFW, with everything from polished dresses and plunging jumpsuits to floaty skirts and sleek separates making an awe-inspiring appearance.
Outfit-Making Coats
Who needs a stunning ensemble when you can simply throw on a spring coat like one of these, head out the door and be the most fashionable girl in sight?
Fun + Flirty Embellishments
Whether it’s candy-dot beads like those at DKNY and Honor or fringe and feathers at practically every other show, not-your-average embellishments are making their way into spring (and make a lack of accessorizing totally OK).
Va-Va-Voom Skirts
Airy midi skirts and flouncy minis will never go out of style, but next spring is all about the voluminous skirt, whether it hits above the knee in a stunning watercolor print or all the way down to your ankle in a delicate lacy overlay.
